Curb Side Recycling
The City of Oakland offers curb side recycling pick up, along with the regular garbage pick up for residents on Thursdays. Green recycling tubs are available at City Hall at no cost to Oakland residents. Remember: all plastic containers and tin cans need to be washed, may have the labels left on them and do not need to be crushed. All types of items need to be seperated and placed in paper bags (i.e. all plastic together in one bag, etc.) No plastic grocery bags.
What goes in Recycling Containers??
• PLASTIC JUGS – Plastic #1 & #2 - Rinse out containers, separate and place in paper bags.
• TIN CANS – Throw lids in regular garbage.Rinse out cans, separate and place in paper bags.
